In your opinion, what makes the museum a good piece of architecture?

Well, it is not easy to answer your question and the answer can also be really subjective, since architecture embodies too many kinds of qualities...

To me, there are two important benchmarks. One is the spatial quality in relation to the function itself. For example, some hospitals these days are very grand and splendid, making more like hotels than home and that does not make sense. That's bad architecture. Here, the museum is neatly planned with simple space arrangements vertically and horizontally, so that you can visit your destination galleries without distraction, or you can also wander around in an orderly way, instead of lost in artworks in random manner.

Second is the design language. There is only bare concrete for most surfaces, while the remaining like the external facade uses tube-like tiles, taking the idea from Chinese roof tiles. It goes all the way from outside to inside, even in the toilets. There is no other distracting design detail, and you can see even the wood patterns in some galleries take the same tile form and create nice spatial effects. That's truly amazing.
